I need a friend,
One without judgment’s sting,
One who feels not trapped or weary,
Unfettered by my past’s shadows.

One who grasps my grief's weight,
Guides me from life's tangled state,
A hand to hold, patience divine,
Insecurities not drawing a line.

No eggshells, just open air,
With trust and care we both can share,
Not lost to time's shifting sands,
But steadfast as our bond expands.

Open hearts, minds aligned,
In friendship true, we'll both find,
A refuge strong, where we can mend,
In you, my dear, I find my friend.
